Retail Assistant

You will have at least 5 years of previous experience in a similar role with a premium brand. A sales super star that is able to go above and beyond their set sale targets and monthly KPI’s. A qualification in interior design is preferred but not crucial.

About the role:

The candidate’s key role in the business is to take responsibility for sales and deliver exceptional customer service in our Christchurch showroom. Communication is an important part of this role, your skills and abilities in this area are fundamental to the success of the sales department. Reporting to the National Sales & Design Manager this is a hands-on position and will require you to take ownership of a wide range of tasks.

Specific areas of responsibility and characteristics will include the following:

  • Strong customer-focused approach, at all levels, with the ability to interpret our prestigious client needs
  • Strong work ethic and high professional standards
  • High standards of personal presentation
  • Achieving monthly sales targets and KPIs
  • Stock management & Visual Merchandising
  • Proactive within all aspects of the role including self-management of keeping up to date with product knowledge
  • Reliable and flexible
  • Interest in the interior design industry

About you:

You will have at least 5 years of previous experience in a similar role with a premium brand. A sales super star that is able to go above and beyond their set sale targets and monthly KPI’s. A qualification in interior design is preferred but not crucial.

This is a full-time role of 40 hours. Monday to Friday 8.30 – 5 pm. Some Saturday shifts and late nights may be requested with plenty of notice. Your communication skills will be top-notch and you will be able to build rapport with ease, taking your work seriously but knowing how to have fun while doing it.
